Small Grants

CLE is offering small grants of £100-£250 to CLE members. These can be used to enable researchers to attend conferences and events, or undertake research trips. Members can also apply for funding towards the costs of organising events such as conferences, workshops, talks or artistic performances. The funding is competitive and will be allocated by the CLE Steering Group once a year.

Early-Career Researcher Bursary Scheme

We offer Early-Career Researcher Bursaries to support attendance at CLE conferences and symposia. Competitions for these will be announced on our website a few months prior to the conference/symposium. So watch this space.

The definition of ‘early career researcher’ includes both current postgraduate students and those who have obtained their PhD no more than 10 years ago.

You do not need to be giving a paper at the conference/symposium to be considered for a bursary.

Deadline for submissions of applications to be announced.

NOTE: You need to become a member of Cultural Literacy in Europe in order to apply for a small grant or an ECR bursary.
